From the recording Rest(less)
When a piece of steel is thrown into the fire, the excess is burned away in order that it can be reshaped into something more useful or even more beautiful. If we throw ourselves into the fire by going outside our comforts, our lives might be remade - melted - molded - made better.
Lyrics
The voice told her she would not be harmed, but remade for the finer.
Take a risk it said, don't play it safe, so she took a step closer to the fire.
Will the fire hurt? Will it waste away? Be remade for the finer?
Remade for the finer.
She endures what she can't express through teared up eyes, like the ones who also wept.
Will the fire hurt? Will it waste away? Be remade for the finer?
And so, it was time to go, afraid but brave, she took a step closer to the fire.
Melted, molded, melted, molded, melted, remade.
